About Us

Anonymously (or not, if you prefer) tell us about your old (or current) employer.  Good or bad! RegisterLogin and Post!  Praise them, criticize them (constructively, hopefully).  We want useful info, funny stories, horror stories, anecdotes, “stupid boss tricks.”  Anything you think might be useful to a newbie.  It can be something applicable to that industry as a whole or narrowed down to one particular company.  You can even be specific about “this one guy/gal”  you used to work with or for.  But no personal attacks or trade secrets, please.  Change the names to protect yourself (and us) from lawsuits.

Tell us why someone should or shouldn’t work there.  Gives us pros and cons.  We want to know about the company, their culture, the work environment, how they treat their people, etc.  This is not a forum for personal attacks, but we do want honest non-sugar-coated legitimate praise or criticism.  If you feel you must mention an individual in a negative way, again, either make up a name or use their title.

We hope this site serves as a research tool for the next poor slob person who starts working where you just left!  Give them some pointers.  Tell them what to watch out for.  Feel free to vent.  Get it off your chest!  Did we mention that it’s anonymous?  :)  But if there’s anything good about the place, include that, too.  We want as much information as possible so that job applicants are not going in blindly!

We would also love to help keep unreasonable bosses/companies (“assholes”) in check.  Maybe if they read enough complaints about themselves, they’ll change their ways.  Hey, we can dream, can’t we?  But, to be fair, the employer is free to write their own posts to rebut any and all complaints.  We’re providing a sort of therapy service here!  To file an official complaint against a company, use your federal or state Labor Department links (if they exist).

You can be completely anonymous.  Make up any available name you want as your login.  Don’t believe the cop shows when they say they can trace you personally to your IP address.  If you’re the only person connecting through that particular connection, they can guess it was you (unless a neighbor was piggybacking off your wireless connection).  If you’re posting from work or a public Internet connection, however, they can only narrow it down to that router, not pinpoint exactly who filed that report.

If you still don’t believe us, use one of these “anonymizer” sites and/or programs:
